That's what powers the George Foreman GGR50B Indoor/Outdoor Grill. You got to admit, no charcoal ashes and no propane tank are very attractive features for an amateur cook.

It takes only 5 minutes to heat up this 1600W unit. The grill top diameter is 17 inches. That's enough for a cozy cookout for two.

The pedelstal is removable. So, you can do (pretend) grilling outside or you can take it off and use it indoors like the gazillion other George Foreman grills out there.

The one down side is you can't adjust the heat setting. The product comes from China. Hopefully, they got the lead issue worked out.

This item is offered at many locations and is currently priced around $70 to $90.

Outdoorgrill Saftey Tips

Spring has sprung and it's time to pull out the grill again. Before you lite your outdoorgrill, here are a couple of things to remember. The Consumer Product Safety Commission states that about 5,000 people each year get injured from propane, wood or charcoal grill fires. Ten people a year die from grilling fires. Annually, there are about 8,000 house fires with about 3,000 of those causing structural damages well over $25 million dollars. One of the biggest sources of accidents is from turkey frying.

So, with all that being said, here are a few grilling safety tips to keep in your mind:

1) Propane grills: Before turning them on, check for leaks in your gas tank hose. Put a mild soapy water coat on the hose and see if any air bubbles form. Also, if you smell gas and the grill won't light, there's got to be a part problem somewhere. Find the defective part and replace it.

2) Charcoal grills: ONLY use charcoal starter fluid to light your fire. Other fuels may be too combustible posing a great hazard for everyone around. Keep the starter fluid container far away from the grill. Also, don't allow children, pets or anyone else who may pose a threat to be near the grilling area. These may include intoxicated people and the elderly. It's best that the chef be the only one near the grill. Finally, always make sure the used cooking coals are cool before dumping them. You may want to water them down.

3) For everyone: Keep your grill clean between uses. Only grill outdoors and away from housing structures. Finally, never leave your outdoorgrill unattended.

Much of this may sound like a big hassle but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Have a great time grilling this year!

The EZ Grill

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 208px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XWgfJAxQdvU/SoRt7bC0qKI/AAAAAAAAAIU/BaWpO-4wXvY/s320/ezgrill.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369537523371780258" />

* Lights with one match
* Cooks for up to 1 ½ hours
* Environmentally friendly
* 100% Natural Charcoal

You get a completely disposable ... errr recyclable grill complete with pan, grate, and charcoal. Amy Davis of Raley’s/Bel Air shares these tips:

“In the store, pick up your meat right before you check out. Place it in a plastic bag at the meat counter to keep the juices from dripping on other foods. Don’t store it in the same ice chest with ready-to-eat foods.

“Be sure to wash hands and surfaces often. Don’t use the same plate that was used to bring the raw chicken or meat from the kitchen to the grill. Keep one for raw and one for cooked.

“A food thermometer is the best way to be sure meat and poultry are safely cooked. Color doesn’t always tell if meat is safe to eat. Fish should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit; ground beef, 160 degrees Fahrenheit; poultry, 165 degrees Fahrenheit; and fully cooked meats like hot dogs, 165 degrees Fahrenheit, or until steaming hot.”
(Source: Sacramento News & Review)

Argentine Style Steak Grillin'

Start with good-quality beef and a hot fire in the backyard barbecue, and it's easy to cook delicious grilled steaks, especially with an easy salsa recipe from Argentina.

Chimichurri: That's what they call the all-purpose salsa of Argentina. But unlike the salsas of Mexican cooking, largely based on chili peppers or tomatoes, Argentine salsa is a pungent combination of raw garlic, oregano, vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, and parsley, along with just a touch of dried red chilies to give it a suspicion of heat.

Quick and easy to prepare, and served at the table as a condiment, the chimichurri recipe that follows makes any hot-off-the-grill food explode with aromatic flavor. The steak recipe it accompanies gains even more flavor, however, by brushing the meat with the salsa before it goes on the grill.

Argentine Steaks with Quick Chimichurri
Serves 4
Ingredients:

4 good-quality beef steaks, each about 1 1/2 inches thick and 6 ounces in weight
4 garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons dried oregano
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup good-quality red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/3 cup minced onion (about 1/2 small onion)
1/3 cup packed finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

Directions:
Preheat a grill, grill pan, or broiler.
Trim excess fat from the steaks and set them aside at room temperature.
Meanwhile, make the chimichurri sauce. Press the garlic cloves through a garlic press into a mixing bowl. Add the red pepper flakes, oregano, and about 1/4 teaspoon each of the salt and black pepper. Pressing down with the back of a soup spoon, mash together the garlic and seasonings. With a fork or small whisk, stir in the vinegar and lemon juice. Stirring briskly, drizzle in the olive oil. Stir in the onion and parsley. Set aside.
When the grill, grill pan, or broiler is hot, spoon a little chimichurri over both sides of the steaks, taking care not to contaminate the sauce with any utensil that has touched the meat. Rub the chimichurri into the meat and season the steaks generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
Grill or broil the steaks until done, 8 to 10 minutes per side for medium rare.
Serve the steaks immediately, passing the chimichurri sauce for guests to spoon onto their plates as a condiment.

Tips and Variations:
Substitute lamb, pork, chicken, or seafood for the steak.
Brush a little chimichurri on slices of rustic bread and grill them lightly as a side dish, or use the chimichurri as a dip for hot bread at the table.
Substitute fresh basil for some of the parsley.
To serve more people, make larger quantities of chimichurri with a food processor, first mincing the garlic with the stainless-steel blade and then choping the parsley and onion before pulsing in the other ingredients.
One word of caution: Chimichurri sauce can be addictive, and may well become a backyard barbecue staple!

(Source: barbecue-picnic-foods.suite101.com)

Usa a Smoker Box For Your Wood Chips

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 275px; height: 275px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XWgfJAxQdvU/SdKK0gyI2LI/AAAAAAAAAIE/BJifg8GGRSY/s320/smoker+box.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319466744636037298" />
Grilling with wood chips adds an extra flavor layer to everything. It’s easy with charcoal, but gas grills require an accessory. You don’t want to burn wood chips on your burners. Enter the smoker box.

These are porcelain, stainless steel or cast-iron containers that hold your chips above your burners. Many have covers with holes; some are uncovered plates.

Some folks use the boxes on charcoal grills. It goes on the ash-gray coals. On gas grills, place the box on the heating element. With either grill, it will take a few minutes to get the smoke rolling, so do this ahead.

(Source: HollandSentinel.com)

Weber 22-1/2" One Touch Gold Charcoal Grill Model 751001

About This Grill

The Weber One-Touch Gold Kettle adds convenience to years of reliable service from the classic kettle that started it all. These are high end grills ($7K to $10K).

Check out their video here:

http://www.kalamazoogourmet.com/hybrid_advantage.php

Kalamazoo invented hybrid grilling technology, and to this day there is no other grill that so seamlessly combines the capabilities of a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Kalamazoo Dragon Burners™ deliver over 115 BTUs of grilling power to each square inch of the primary grilling area, so these are seriously capable gas grills. Above the burners are the Hybrid Grilling Drawers. For gas grilling, insert the ceramic-lined drawers to perfectly diffuse the heat. For charcoal and wood grilling, insert the wood rack drawers. Antioxidant-rich spice and herb marinades may actually decrease the formation of heterocyclic amines (HCAs) -- potentially cancer-causing compounds often produced in meat cooked at high temperatures -- by up to 88 percent, according to a new study in the August issue of the Journal of Food Science.

Simulating typical home cooking conditions, researchers from Kansas State University immersed steaks for one hour in marinades prepared from three varieties (Caribbean, Southwest and Herb) of pre-packaged marinade mixes. These steaks, as well as non-marinated steaks and steaks in non-spice marinades, were then grilled at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes per side. After grilling, researchers compared levels of HCAs in all steaks and found substantial decreases in HCAs in the steaks marinated with antioxidant-rich spices and herbs.

(Source: Marketwatch - http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/study-finds-spice-rich-marinades-can/story.aspx?guid=%7B95DCCCC7-18AC-495A-9BD3-E0982FA1BF8E%7D&dist=hppr)

The Death of Outdoor Kitchen Concepts

LOL

Lowes Perfect Flame Grill RECALL

A gas grill bursts into flames during a backyard cookout. That’s what one Tulsa man says happened when he was grilling burgers the other night. Now, some stores have pulled the grills from their shelves.

It’s a model of a Perfect Flame gas grill, bought at Lowes hardware store. A manager at Lowes said they pulled this grill from shelves last week. Just before that happened, Lowe’s took away Chris Jeffers grill. They gave him a full refund. But Jeffers says the manufacturer is ignoring a dangerous problem.

In early July, Chris Jeffers says he was grilling the way he always does, following instructions. Then something happened.

He said, “We put our hamburgers on, closed the lid walked in the house to finish preparation, and we go back outside and the whole grill’s on fire…The flames were leaping out the back of it up over the top of it.”

He said he shut the gas off, but that didn’t slow down the fire.
(more from Fox23)

Lowes now has done a national recall of the grill.

Choosing the Outdoor BBQ Grill for Yourself

Like most people we do on occasions like to cook outdoors, but selecting the right one from the many outdoor bbq grills on the market can be a daunting process. Well, there is no need to get all tensed or overwhelmed. We will help and guide you through some of the options that are available.

You can certainly spend a large sum of money on outdoor bbq grills. Keeping this in mind you need to set your budget before venturing out. It doesn’t matter whether it is a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars, it is easy to get caught up in the excitement of purchasing your new outdoor grill. Be strong and firm with yourself and stay within your budget.

Now decide whether the outdoor grill is for yourself and your family that will enjoy the odd meal outdoors, or will you be entertaining large groups of family and friends! There are some outdoor bbq grills on the market that suit two people and some outdoor grills that literally have hundreds of square inches of cooking space. You really need to decide beforehand the needs and requirements of your outdoor bbq grill

A tabletop model that is meant for one or two people may well suit your needs if you rarely entertain, or you just want to cook outside on the odd occasion. However on the other hand the tabletop outdoor bbq grills will make it difficult if you plan on cooking a meal for several people.

Which do we choose; the charcoal or the gas outdoor bbq grills? This is not an easy question. The traditionalist will insist that charcoal gives the food a better taste or flavor. The dripping that comes of the meat mixes with the charcoal to create a more flavorful smoke that adds flavor to the meat while it cooks. If you are looking for outdoor charcoal bbq grills there are plenty on the market to choose from.

Royal Oak Outdoor 30 inch Deluxe Charcoal Barbecue Grill

Price: $128.00

Consumer: Those shopping for barbeque grills and accessories

The purpose of the Royal Oak Outdoor 30″ Deluxe Charcoal Barbecue Grill is to cook food outdoors.

Pros: There are charcoal barbecue grills that are bigger and charcoal grills that have a lot more features but for the money, you just can’t get a better charcoal barbecue grill than the Royal Oak Outdoor 30″ Deluxe Charcoal Barbecue Grill.

The Royal Oak Outdoor 30″ Deluxe Charcoal Barbecue Grill boasts some very cool features that you would expect to only find in more expensive models of charcoal barbeque grills. Charcoal has always been king when it comes to turning out tasty treats, and these days, there is a charcoal grill for every backyard and for every cooking need. The Kingsford line includes the traditional kettle shape in a 14-inch tabletop model, as well as in a 26-inch “big-daddy” size, which is perfect for those with bigger families and those who like to entertain with tongs. There is also an 18.5-inch and a 22.5-inch size.

For those who really want to go for the gusto and prefer the lower and slower method of cooking for a crowd, consider a grande-size charcoal barrel grill. Masterbuilt makes a barrel grill in four sizes that has an optional side firebox, so it becomes easy to add a layer of smoke flavoring simply by adding a mesquite or hickory log to the coals.

Another way to ensure success is to choose foods that are appropriate for the grill. Smaller tabletop kettle grills are best for quick-cooking foods such as burgers, hot dogs, sausages, sliced veggies and even small seafood pieces such as shrimp and scallops.
(Source: www.bhanjar.com/make-the-most-of-your-charcoal-grill)

Steven Raichlen's The Art of Smoking

Wood smoke is an integral part of the true barbecue. Wood comes in three forms for smoking: chips, chunks, and logs. Chips and chunks will handle the needs of most backyard grillers; logs are used by people with professional rigs and large front-loading charcoal grills.

For a light wood flavor, simply toss the chips or chunks on the coals-a technique used mainly in direct grilling in the style of Europe or South America. For a more pronounced smoke flavor-the sort associated with traditional American barbecue-soak the chips or chunks in water (or a mixture of water and beer) for 1 hour, then drain before adding them to the fire. This soaking causes the wood to smolder rather than burst into flames, so it generates more smoke.

By varying the wood, you can subtly vary the flavor: heavy woods, like mesquite and pecan, have a stronger smoke flavor than fruit woods, like apple or cherry. The best all purpose woods for smoking are hickory and oak. However, the difference is very subtle. Almost any hardwood can be used to for smoking with sublime results. Note: NEVER attempt to smoke with softwoods or pressure treated lumber.

To smoke on a charcoal grill, set up your grill for indirect grilling and toss the wood chips or chunks on the piles of glowing embers.

To smoke on a gas grill, check first to see if your grill has a smoker box (a long, slender drawer or box into which you can put wood chips for smoking). If it does, fill it with wood chips and light the burner under or next to it on high until you see smoke, then lower the heat of the grill to the desired temperature.

Landmann Black Dog 42 Smoker and Grill

Price: $334.00

Consumer: Those shopping for barbeque grills and accessories

The purpose of the Landmann Black Dog 42 Smoker and Grill is to grill meat and vegetables outdoors.

Pros: Woo hoo! There have been several studies done that have shown that eating grilled red meat may raise your risk of cancer.

* Scrape off any charred portions off the racks.
* Raise the grill racks and keep the temperature lower to lessen the smoke and the flames that reach the food.
* Flip your food with tongs or with a spatula. A fork will pierce your food which releases the juice and fat that leads to flare ups.
* Grill skinless chicken and fish.
* Microwave meat before grilling and use oil free marinades to hinder the formation of cancer causing chemicals.
* Make kebabs with fruits and vegetables which don’t form harmful chemicals when flame cooked.

(Source)

Little Louie Wood Pellet Grill/Barbecue/Smoker

Price: $1,008.99

Pros: There is nothing like the rich taste of wood smoke flavor in barbecued food. Wood pellets capture the real wood flavor without the mess of chunk wood or barbecue briquettes. With Louisiana convection oven BBQs you will enjoy the succulent taste of locked in flavor, smoked or grilled to your liking. Louisiana Grills truly take cooking with wood to the next level.

This grill includes a heavy double lined hood, a large (204 square inch) cast iron grill, an auto-igniter for easier starts, independent smoke control and an engineered top fed auger system for even fuel delivery. This is the grill that you’ve dreamed about. You may cancel your order, for any reason, and receive a full refund provided your order has not been added to the shipping queue or shipped by either the vendor or the distributor.

Cons: This is not a starter grill - you have to be a serious griller to justify the expense. You expect it to last for years to come and provide you with perfectly cooked food whenever you want it. But, keeping your barbecue working at optimal performance and looking its best is going to take little work on your behalf. So, whether you have a gas, electric, charcoal or smoke barbecue grill get ready to learn some easy tips on how to take care and repair it right at home.

You’re going to need some tools to clean your barbecue grill, check to see that you have these essential items on hand:

Brass wire grill brush

Soap-embedded, fine steel wool pads

Mild dish soap

Sponge or dishcloth

Spray cooking oil

Dry baking soda

Aluminum foil

Newspaper

These items enable you to keep your charcoal, electric, gas or smoke barbecue grill looking as fantastic as the day you first brought it home. The first step to keeping your grill clean and sanitary is brushing off the grill surfaces. All barbecue grills will need this done on a regular basis, so don’t neglect this crucial step. You will find that there are a variety of brushes available for this purpose, so make sure to choose the one best suited for the type of surface your barbecue grill is made of. If you have a cast iron surface, utilize a stainless steel brush, if you have a porcelain-coated barbecue grill,a brass-bristle is best. So, choose your brush wisely and your grill will reap the benefits. Also, check your grease pan every now and then for a buildup of debris. Clean it out if needed so your barbecue grill remains hygienic and safe.

Once your barbecue grill surface is clean, it’s time to spray it with cooking oil. Make absolutely positively sure that the grill is cold so the oil doesn’t ignite. Only a cold charcoal, electric, gas or smoke barbecue grill will benefit a light coating of cooking oil. It will help to prevent your grill from rusting and prepare the surface for the next time you decide to fire up the barbecue!

The burner assemblies are additional parts on your barbecue grill that must be cleaned periodically as well. So, that means your gas valves, metal conduits and burners need your attention from time to time or debris, bugs and spiders will think of them as their permanent home.

A different idea for cleaning your electric, gas, charcoal or smoke barbecue grill involves the utilize of something you probably already have lying around the house. Standard baking soda is a great natural cleaning agent and will help to restore your grill to its usual splendor. Just sprinkle a bit of the baking soda onto a dry brush and scrub the grill. Rinse clean and do the same thing on knobs and trays.

Aluminum foil has yet another utilize, but I bet you didn’t think it was for cleaning your barbecue grill, did you? Well, think again because all you have to do is roll it up and gently rub it back and forth on your grill. It cleans wonderfully and is an inexpensive way to aid in the upkeep of your grill

Probably the most unorthodox way to remove that greasy residue from your smoke, charcoal, electric or gas barbecue grill is with newspaper. Once you’ve finished grilling, all you have to do is soak a newspaper in water and leave it on top of your lukewarm grill rack with the lid down. Wait about 45 minutes to an hour and then utilize the paper to wipe off all of that hard to remove grease and grime.

The utilize of dish soap is common and very effective for cleaning all types of barbecue grillsso don’t rule out this method. Just place your grill and racks out in your yard and spray it down with water. Gently scrub your grill with a steel pad and rinse again.

All of these cleaning methods are great ideas for taking care of your grill, but to really make sure it looks model-perfect for as long as possible, invest in a cover. You spent a lot of money on your barbecue grillso buy a cover and protect it from elements like rain, wind and dust.

Now that your gas, electric, smoke or charcoal barbecue is shiny and clean, it’s time to check it out and address any issues you’ve been having with it. But, before you toss it in the garbage or haul it off to the repair man, check to see if you can repair it yourself. Who knows, you might save yourself some money and you’ll feel good about your handyman skills as well.

The first repair you’ll want to look at is the burner. Make sure the gas is disconnected and your grill is cold before beginning. When these steps have been taken, remove the grill, lava rock and bottom grill until you find the burner. If it’s rusty looking, take it out and replace it with a new one from your local hardware store. A professional would charge you a lot more to replace your burner, so skip that unnecessary step and do it yourself!

Many minor problems that arise in gas, electric, smoke or charcoal barbecue grills are a direct result of their upkeep. So, if your grill is making a weird noise, not lighting up as fast or just isn’t acting like itself, the best way to “repair” it is to clean it! You may think that whatever is wrong is internal but it just could be that a buildup of grime, grease and other debris is hindering its performance. Taking care of your grill and repairing it won’t be hard or time consuming if you baby it from the moment its wheels first meet your backyard. Buy a cover for it and clean if off after every utilize, it’s that simple. So, try some of the methods explained in this article and your barbecue grill should be up, running and sparkling clean in no time.

Genesis S-320 Gas Grill With Side Burner

Price: $857.49

Pros: So beautiful you’ll hesitate to grill on it.

You really need to decide beforehand the needs and requirements of your outdoor bbq grill.

However, propane is usually much safer to deal with than charcoal. Outdoor grills that run on gas light with the touch of a button rather than needing lighter fluid and matches. They can also be controlled much easier. And when that juice from the meat drips down in a charcoal grill, this can cause flame flare-ups. If you have young children or pets that may be running around the grill, you might opt for gas and learn how to season your meat to make up for the lack of flavor.

Despite of the type of outdoor bbq grills you may be considering to purchase, the important factor is learning how to use your new bbq grill. So please read the manufacturer’s instructions. Now go out and try some new recipes.

How to Build a Barbeque Grill Surround for your patio

DIY Youtube video for building an outdoor grill

Grandhall T-Grill

Great find by the great BornRich site : The T grill...by Grandhall

With summer around, the party season is here and that means more time will be spent outdoors by the pool, in your backyard. When Lowe's Home Improvement Center has an unknown company (CFM harris Systems) build a grill and pay Jenn-Air to use its name! That's right folks. In keeping with today's theme, I'm featuring a grill designed by John T. Unger.

The Pot-de-Feu (pot of fire) grill is hand-cut by artist John T. Unger from scrap 20 lb propane tanks. Each is an unique work of art, never to be exactly repeated. Great Green Goods has called the Pot-de-Feu “the eco-friendly, hip and happening wedding present of 2006."

The Pot-de-Feu is a great way to turn cooking into a fun and sociable event— place the grill at the center of an outdoor table and gather friends for an evening of conversation and tasty treats.

Combining elements of Mongolian barbeque, tapas and fondue, the Pot-de-Feu is perfect for grilling kebabs, satay, veggies, and is well suited for sausage and burgers. For best results, cut food into bite-size pieces and arrange on stainless steel skewers. Use tongs to turn the skewers for even cooking ...

Outdoor Kitchens - ServiceMagic.com

You might start thinking this is the outdoor grill tv network. Here are some refresher tips from Billy Bristol to get you thinking about cooking outdoors again.

Good barbeque and grilling tips are essential for learning how to barbeque or how to grill. Your average backyard cook is no expert in the barbeque or grilling field. He has no television shows on the Food Network. He has no grilling cookbooks out. Nor has any of those been part of his lifetime goal.

No, your average outdoor cooking enthusiast makes more mistakes with bbq grilling than you could ever imagine. The meat ends up dry and tough time after time, despite marinating for hours. Or the meat is burnt or cooked too long.

These mistakes are made time and time again because your average backyard cook usually does not know any different. He receives few good bbq and grilling tips.

Here are some of the more common mistakes and do's and don'ts made in bbq grill cooking:

1) If you started with frozen meat, make sure the meat is thawed completely. Trying to cook the inside of a still-frozen piece of meat is next to impossible without burning the outside.

2) When using a charcoal grill, try to start the fire without charcoal lighter fluid. Lighter fluid taste will always get into your meat no matter how much you cook the coals down first. A chimney starter makes starting the fire a breeze. It also allows you to add charcoal along the way should the coals burn out along the way...

(Read more at Ezinearicles.com)

Viking C4 Outdoor Cooker

<img style="cursor:pointer; I'm talking about more than just scraping the grate down with a wire brush and water. You have to get the ashes, old food particles, and grease residue out if you want good tasting food in the future.

* Soak your grates in warm soapy water before scrubbing them down. Of course, ideally, you clean them each time after you grill before the grates get cold. While setting up to grill, how many times have you opened the lid to discover a bunch of bad crusties seemingly glued onto the grates?

* Left over ashes contribute to rusting. Get em out of there. They can also cause clogs which results in uneven cooking across your grill.

* Scrub out the inside of your outdoor grill at least once a year with warm soapy water.

* Keep your briquettes, lava rocks, or whatever you use replenished.

Remember, grill residue leads to bad flavors at your next grill out. Don't be lazy.

The Holy Grail of Outdoor Kitchens

Alfresco

Online Meats

Here's a link to Allen Brothers of Chicago.

This was the company chef Greg Cole highly recommended as a source for great quality meat which you can order online. Season only with a little olive oil, salt and coarse cracked black pepper.

4) * Cook Time
“I’ll share with you the $20,000 culinary school secret,” Cole said. Here it is: You do it by pressing the steak and matching the feel against your own hand.

To do it, make a ring with your thumb and forefinger on the opposite hand from the one you generally use, and with your other hand, press the pad of skin below your thumb. That’s how a rare steak will feel if you press it.

Now, shift and make a ring of your thumb and middle finger. That same pad below your thumb will be slightly stiffer. That’s the feel of a medium rare steak.

Your thumb and ring finger will approximate the feel of a medium steak, and the pad will be firmest when you make a ring of your little finger and thumb: That’s a well-done steak.

5) Turn the steak 4 times during the cooking time to get the nice looking crisscross grill marks. (Thick steaks - around 3 minutes between turns)

6) When it comes off the grill, let the steak rest for 5 minutes (10 for 16 oz+ steaks). This allows the juices to reabsorb back into the meat.

Great Global Grilling

Check out Emeril Live on the Food Network this Saturday night at 9PM EST. At a retail price of $900, it had better be. This ingenious outdoor grill mounts on the back of your vehicle where you'd usually see bikes or a spare tire.
